NVIDIA CONSOLIDATES ITS DOMINANCE IN AI BY NEUTRALIZING THE LEADING INDEPENDENT ALTERNATIVE TO GPUS

IN THIS CONTEXT, NVIDIA’S ABSORPTION OF GROQ REPRESENTS FAR MORE THAN A TECHNOLOGICAL ACQUISITION. IT CLOSES OFF THE PATH FOR WHAT WAS, UNTIL THEN, THE MOST CONVINCING INDEPENDENT ALTERNATIVE TO NVIDIA’S PLATFORM. THE RESULT IS AN EVEN MORE CENTRALIZED ECOSYSTEM, IN WHICH INNOVATION CONTINUES TO EXIST, BUT RARELY OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES IMPOSED BY NVIDIA ITSELF.
